As this is a quiet time of the year with few events when most students aren’t even on campus, I decided to create a film noir style series starring Lobo Louie complaining of the loneliness he suffers when campus is so empty. Customizing the Button for Drupal Views Data Export

For this project, the client requested several views of filtered content for their Drupal site, with the option for the user to export the filtered content in CSV format. We didn’t like the styling and placement of the default export button provided by the Drupal Views Data Export module, so I customized it with the following steps.

A Guide for Users of OCLC’s CONTENTdm

To support community partners of New Mexico Digital Collections, I created a comprehensive guide that includes information and instructions specific to the NMDC installation, as well as links to training and information resources from OCLC. This guide was a central location for NMDC community partners — libraries, archives, and museums across the state — to learn how to manage and use the platform to share their digitized content. I built it using the LibGuides CMS, part of the LibApps suite from Springshare. Below is the content I created.

Metadata Resources

What is metadata?

tags by Yamini Ahluwalia from the Noun ProjectMetadata is “a set of attributes necessary to describe a resource.” That is, metadata gives users more information about an item, and it helps users find the items they’re looking for. That’s why it’s so important to create good metadata for your items. Some examples of metadata that you might be familiar with are title, description, keywords, or hashtags — but there are lots more.
